Who We Are
About the Collierville Farmers Market
Founded in 2009 by community volunteers, the Collierville Farmers Market’s (CFM) mission is to foster relationships between producers and community members to promote healthy living, environmental stewardship, and a vibrant, resilient community. We connect local growers, artisans, and neighbors through fresh, sustainably produced food and handmade goods.
We are a family-oriented market striving to support small-scale agriculture, strengthen our local economy, and create an inclusive gathering place where everyone can learn, share, and celebrate the richness of our region.
The CFM is a seasonal weekly, non-profit outdoor marketplace featuring local farmers, small business owners, and artisans. The CFM showcases locally sourced produce and food items, as well as handcrafted arts and crafts from the Mid-South region. The CFM is a producer-only market and prides itself in the quality of Vendors and the products we offer to the community.
Our outdoor location at Collierville United Methodist Church offers convenient parking just steps away from the market, indoor restrooms and access to a coffee shop. We are the only farmers market in the area that operates on a Thursday morning, giving our customers the chance to stock up early for the weekend.
The CFM has become an important destination for family outings. We believe there is great value in educating children about where their food comes from. We try to make it fun by offering kids activities and scavenger hunts. There’s nothing like seeing the excitement on a child’s face discovering funky shaped pumpkins and rainbow colored produce grown “on a real farm”. We welcome preschool and home school field trips anytime!
We are pet friendly and love seeing our leashed four legged friends!
History
2009 – A small group of Collierville residents were permitted by the Town of Collierville to start a farmers market in a public parking lot just off of the Town Square.
2011 – The Collierville United Methodist Church graciously offered to allow the market the use of its rear parking lot and the CFM was moved to 454 W. Poplar Avenue.
2020 – Covid-19 reminded the community about the importance of shopping outdoors for the healthiest locally grown food and products. We enjoyed a very busy and very successful season.
2023 – The market continues to grow with around 40 of the best growers, bakers, makers and producers in the region.
2024 – The Collierville Chamber of Commerce helped us kick off our 15th Anniversary in May with a special ribbon cutting ceremony. It has been a very exciting year and we are enjoying our busiest and most successful season to date. With the addition of food trucks and many new vendors (over 50 total) we relocated to the very back parking lot of CUMC to allow more room for parking, shopping, picnic tables and vendors. We are proud to be known as Collierville’s favorite gathering spot for families and friends to meet!
